Fits Dish Network 1000 version 4 (Eastern ARC) Satellite Dishes (22" by 28") Satellite Dish Cover Wedgiecovers were designed to help eliminate satellite signal loss due to Snow accumulation on the dish and Rain fade, thus allowing you to watch un-interrupted TV. Snow can also affect your satellite signal by pilling up on your satellite dish and blocking the signal. Wedgiecovers are excellent as snow covers, once installed they create a round surface (like a cone) between the front of the dish (the lnb) and the dish. When snow falls onto the cover the round surface of the cover allows the snow falls off of the side therefore it doesn't build up on the dish so the signal doesn't get blocked. Rain Fade is when rain droplets break up the satellite signal by passing between your satellite dish and the dish up in space. Wedigecovers are designed to help eliminated rain fade by creating a protective barrier where rain can't pass between the front of the dish (the lnb) and the dish itself. Once this barrier is created rain can no longer pass between the front of the dish and the dish where the signal pass, thus helping to stop rain fade. Wedgiecovers are a one piece cover that fits over the front of the dish (the lnb) and over the dish. There is a drawstring at the back to pull the cover tied. The satellite signal is NOT interrupt by the wedgiecover as the signal passes right thru the material of the cover.
